CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Shedd Aquarium will be offering free admission to Illinois residents with a valid ID starting this week.

The free admission days begin Wednesday and continue until September 30. Admission includes all permanent exhibits, the Amphibians special exhibit, aquatic presentation and Stingray Touch.

The 4-D Experience admission is a $4.95 upgrade.

The Shedd offers 52 free days for Illinois residents throughout the year. For more information about free days at the aquairum, click here.
