CHICAGO (WLS) -- A second juvenile was charged in a deadly shooting on Chicago's South Side.
On Jan. 5, police said three teens were standing on the corner of East 76th Street and South Dorchester Avenue in the city's Grand Crossing neighborhood around 3:30 p.m. when a car pulled up and someone opened fire.
Donta Parker, a 16-year-old boy, was shot in the head. Sakinah Reed, a 17-year-old girl, was shot in the chest. Both were taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where they later died.
Another 16-year-old boy was shot in the hand.
A week later, a male juvenile was charged in the shooting. On Wednesday, a 17-year-old boy was also charged. They are both facing two counts of first-degree murder and one count of aggravated battery with a firearm.
