CHICAGO -- Three historic Chicago buildings will receive a 2015 Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Preservation Award.

Landmarks Illinois, a leading preservation advocate, announced Thursday that honors will go to the sites during an Oct. 17 ceremony.

The Project of the Year Award will go to Dorchester Art and Housing for converting a blighted block of formerly public housing into an art center and 32 mixed-income rental units.

The President's Award for Stewardship will be given to the Glessner House Museum for 50 years of preserving and interpreting the 1887 structure designed by Henry Hobson Richardson.

A Driehaus Preservation Award for Rehabilitation goes to the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel which renovated the 1893 Venetian Gothic building into a 241-room boutique hotel and restaurant.
