3 killed in fireworks factory explosion in China

China Fireworks Factory Explosion
Quite the sight in southern China as a fireworks facility went up in flames and triggered all the fireworks stored inside to explode.

SHANGRAO, China -- A massive explosion at a fireworks plant in southern China killed three people and injured 53 others, state media reported Wednesday.

Another person was reported missing after the blast, which shook the Hongsheng Fireworks Plant in a village outside the city of Shangrao in Jiangxi province.

About one-thousand people were evacuated from the area.

The blast was so strong that doors and windows of homes in the area were destroyed, with glass scattered around, the Chinese government reported.
