3 men charged in suspected Beach Park drug house

BEACH PARK, Ill. (WLS) -- Three men were arrested and charged after a two-week Lake County Sheriff investigation of a suspected drug house in the northern suburbs.

Detectives recovered marijuana, heroin, cocaine, the sedative Promethazine, assorted paraphernalia, handguns and over $5,000 in cash from a house on Waldo Avenue in Beach Park, officials said.

Damon D. Duffie, 30, Dwayne D. Gordon, 28, and Aaron Swopes, 31, were arrested on Thursday following an investigation that included two traffic stops and the execution of a search warrant.

Duffie and Gordon are being held on $1 million bond with their next court appearance scheduled for Dec. 15. Swopes is being held on $100,000 bond with his next court appearance scheduled for Nov. 25.
