UNINCORPORATED ZION, Ill. (WLS) -- A physical confrontation at a wedding in the far north suburbs early Monday morning resulted in three men being arrested and charged with mob action and assault, police say.

Lake County deputies responding to the scene on the 1100-block of Lakefront Drive in unincorporated Zion around 2:30 a.m. Monday learned that several individuals had displayed guns during the confrontation.

Police say Oscar Cervantes, 28, of Waukegan, pointed a handgun at a 23-year-old victim. A short time later, James Bakken, 33, of Beach Park, struck the victim in the face with a handgun. Investigators also found that Matthew Bowen, 25, also of Beach Park, was an aggressor in the confrontation.

All three suspects were arrested as they tried to flee the scene in the vehicle. Deputies located two loaded handguns in the vehicle.

All three are being held at Lake County Jail awaiting a bond hearing on Tuesday.
