3 shot while driving in West Garfield Park

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Three people were shot while driving in the city's West Garfield Park neighborhood, police said.

The victims were traveling eastbound in the 4500-block of West Lake Street around 3:40 a.m. Saturday when a dark-colored sedan allegedly pulled up next to them and fired shots, police said.

A 16-year-old male victim was shot in the left buttocks, a 17-year-old female was shot in the right leg and a 20-year-old male was shot in the lower back, officials said. The victims drove themselves to West Suburban Hospital and are listed in stable condition.

No one has been taken into custody and police are continuing to investigate.
