Chicago Weather: Light snow could impact morning commute
Light snow and flurries could make for a slippery morning commute in the Chicago area Monday morning.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Light snow and flurries fell during the morning commute in the Chicago area Monday morning.

Most models predict up to an inch of snow, with higher amounts possible in northwest Indiana or closer to the lake.

ABC7 Storm Tracker checkout conditions on westbound I-94 in northwest Indiana, where the snow was falling and causing some wet pavement, but not accumulating.

The Chicago Department of Streets and Sanitation deployed 211 snow plows in its fleet to clear the streets. Salt spreads will focus on the city's arterial streets and Lake Shore Drive before transitioning to residential streets.
