CHICAGO (WLS) -- Dozens of ComEd crews departed for Puerto Rico Saturday in an effort to restore power to the island after Hurricane Maria.

The crews will be in Puerto Rico for a month and will work in areas hit hardest by the storm.

Workers said they want to help people who are in need and are trying to get back on their feet.

The crews are made up of line employees, supervisors and support teams, ComEd said.
