CTA conductor attacked on Red Line near Sheridan

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 19-year-old man is in custody after he allegedly attacked a CTA conductor.

Officials said Saman Griffiths is charged with attacking the conductor Saturday morning on the Red Line near Sheridan.

Griffiths allegedly hit the conductor in the face through the train's window while it was stopped, authorities said. Police said Griffiths was intoxicated at the time of the incident.
