Man lying in road struck, killed by vehicle in unincorporated Algonquin Township

ALGONQUIN TOWNSHIP, Ill. (WLS) -- A 20-year-old man is dead after he was struck by a vehicle while lying in the road in unincorporated Algonquin Township Friday.

Police said a vehicle was traveling Westbound in the 1300 block of East Main Street when it struck the man.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, authorities said.
