3rd man charged with murder in Holly Bobo Tennessee kidnapping, murder

Prosecutors say a third man has been charged with murder in the death of a Tennessee nursing student reported missing in 2011.

The Shelby County District Attorney's office said Wednesday that John Dylan Adams has been charged in the case of Holly Bobo with premeditated first-degree murder and murder in the perpetration of aggravated kidnapping and aggravated rape.

Adams' brother, Zachary Adams, and another man, Jason Autry, face the same charges after new indictments were issued. Zachary Adams and Autry had previously been charged with murder and kidnapping.

The 20-year-old student was reported missing from her home in Parsons in April 2011. A lengthy search drew national attention and authorities say the woman's skull was found later that year in a wooded area in Tennessee.

A man authorities had threatened to indict in the disappearance was found dead in February, WSMV-TV reported. Shayne Austin, 30, reportedly took his own life outside Tennessee.

Austin was identified by an eyewitness as following Bobo just days before she was kidnapped.

But Austin was never charged in the Bobo investigation. In fact, he was at one point the star witness for the prosecution.

Austin had signed an immunity agreement one week after the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation announced indictments against Zachary Adams and Autry.

It's still unknown what Austin may have told authorities before his death.
