CHICAGO (WLS) -- Ten thousand Chicago Public School students will get to see the movie "Selma" for free, thanks to the After School Matters program and a coalition of other business and civic groups

The movie depicts the 1965 battle for equal voting rights for African Americans and Dr. Martin Luther King's march from Selma to Montgomery.

The Chicago organizations believe teens will learn about the historical importance of the march and the message of justice and equality portrayed in the film.
