Series of residential burglaries reported in Jefferson Park

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police are warning residents in the city's Jefferson Park neighborhood about a series of residential burglaries reported in the last month.

Police say that in all of the reported incidents, offenders allegedly entered homes through windows or doors and stole cash, electronics and jewelry.

The following burglaries were reported:

  • 5100-block of N. Normandy between 5-9:30 p.m. on Jan. 4
  • 5300-block of N. Newland at 3:10 p.m. on Jan. 5
  • 7000-block of W. Berwyn between 7-9:30 a.m. on Jan. 16 and 17
  • 5100-block of N. Nagle between 4:30-9:30 p.m. on Jan. 22
