CHICAGO (WLS) -- People wishing to pay tribute to Cubs legend Ernie Banks can do that starting Wednesday morning.

The statue of Banks that's normally in front of Wrigley Field is being moved to Daley Plaza where fans can honor Banks through Saturday.

Cubs chairman Tom Ricketts told Eyewitness News exclusively Tuesday that there will be other opportunities after that.

"I loved Ernie, everybody loved Ernie," Ricketts said. "He was a special guy. We'll definitely make 2015 a season where we can really pay tribute to a great player and great person."

In another tribute, the Blue Cross Blue Shield building in Chicago is lit up with Banks' number Tuesday night.
