A Walmart store in Hammond is looking to hire 150 associates.

Todd Belsha, store manager of the relocated Walmart, said he is hiring both full-time and part-time employees.

The store, located just south of I-80/94 on Indianapolis Boulevard, is scheduled to open in the spring.

Walmart set up a temporary hiring center at 1828 165th Street in Hammond, which is open from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Applicants can submit their paperwork at the hiring center or apply online at Careers.Walmart.com.

Eligible Walmart associates can take advantage of benefits that include health insurance, a 401(k) match program, company-paid life insurance, merchandise discounts and a quarterly incentive based on store performance.

The company will also offer jobs to qualified veterans who have been honorably discharged in the last 12 months through Walmart's Veterans Welcome Home Commitment.
