PLAINFIELD, Ill. (WLS) -- A former treasurer for a Boy Scout Troop in Plainfield faces multiple theft charges in connection with $17,000 worth of missing funds from the troop's account, police said.

Annete Eichorst, 50, was taken into custody and charged after a warrant was issued for her arrest following a police investigation. Police say Boy Scout Troop 19 had reported $17,000 worth of missing funds between November 2010 and October 2013.

Eichorst posted the required $17,000 bond and was released pending her court date.
