5 injured in Lake Shore Drive crash near Oak Street Beach

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Five people, including a 16-year-old girl, were injured in a single-car crash on Lake Shore Drive Monday night, the Chicago Fire Department said.

The ABC7 camera mounted on the Hancock building captured the scene as several ambulances responded to the crash on the S-curve near Oak Street Beach.

Fire officials said two people were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, two people were taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center and the 16-year-old girl was taken to Lurie Children's Hospital. All of their conditions stabilized at the hospitals.
