Chicago police say five people were mugged in four incidents in Chicago's Lakeview, Wrigleyville, Boystown and Ravenswood neighborhoods within 45 minutes.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police say five people were mugged in four incidents in Chicago's Lakeview, Wrigleyville, Boystown and Ravenswood neighborhoods within 45 minutes early Wednesday morning.

"It definitely creeps you out, living in the area," said resident Bora Yalchin.

The four incidents were spread out in the neighborhood and it is unclear if any of them were connected. The last robbery happened outside the Lakeview Learning Center around 3 a.m.

"This is a nice neighborhood. Never have these kind of problems! First time I heard of it," said Jorge Villagran, who works at the Lakeview Learning Center.

Other residents said they have experienced violent crime in the area. Yalchin, who lives just feet from the public parking lot where another Wednesday morning mugging occurred, said he never lets his friends walk alone to their cars.

"If anyone comes to my house past midnight, I have them sleep over and I'll drive them to their car the next day," he said.

Though the Lakeview Learning Center does have security cameras, the mugging was not captured on video. Police continue to investigate.
