Dolton officials want to shutter a nightclub after a shooting.

DOLTON, Ill. (WLS) -- Five people were wounded after a fight broke out inside a club in south suburban Dolton Sunday morning, Dolton police said.

A fight broke out on the second floor inside Club 1 at the corner of Chicago Road and Washington Street, police said. Security was notified of the disturbance and at that time a subject inside began shooting.

Four male victims were shot inside the club and another male victim was shot about 200 feet from Club 1, police said. The victims were transported to different hospitals. Their ages and condition are not known, police said.

Police are investigating and examining surveillance footage from inside the club. No one is in custody, police said.

On Sunday, Dolton village trustees called for nightclub to be shuttered. However, there were growing questions about who owns the business.
