CTA bus stop robberies prompt community alert

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police are warning Chicago Lawn residents about a series of robberies near CTA bus stops.

The most recent incident happened Wednesday afternoon on the 6800-block of South Western Avenue. There were two other robberies in January one block north.

Police say the victims were approached by multiple offenders who demanded or forcibly removed their property.
