WAUKEGAN, Ill. (WLS) -- A man and a woman in their early twenties face drug and weapons charges after Lake County detectives found a number of drugs, live ammunition and cash in an apartment in north suburban Waukegan.

Kyle Matus, 21, and Lillian Serna, 23, were charged with multiple felonies after the Lake County Sheriff's Special Investigations Unit executed a search warrant in the 0-100-block of North Victory Street on Wednesday.

The sheriff's office said detectives found cannabis, ecstasy, promethazine/codeine, psilocybin (mushroom) extract, various prescription medications, live ammunition, cash and packaging materials in the apartment, which is about half a block from Waukegan high School's Washington campus.
