Cars robbed after started, left to warm up in cold weather, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- If you're starting to car to warm it up in this cold weather, you may not want to walk away from it.

Police say a woman left her car running in her driveway to warm it up near the 1200-block of South Central Avenue Monday; when she came back, it was gone.

Later that day, in the 4700-block of West Grace Street, a man was warming up his car when police say a man allegedly hopped in the driver's seat and took off.

In both incidents, police say the vehicles were recovered.
