Driver sought in Jefferson Park hit and run

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are searching for the driver in a hit and run incident in the Jefferson Park neighborhood that critically injured a 55-year-old woman.

Police say at around 6:25 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16, the woman struck by an unknown vehicle while cross the street in the 3400-block of North Harlem Avenue. She was hospitalized for serious injuries and is in critical condition.

Police found pieces of a Toyota headlamp assembly and a blue-gray passenger side mirror at the scene. The Major Accident Investigation Unit encourages anyone who witnessed or has any information about the crash to contact them at 312-745-4521.
