Lawrence Longstreet charged in shooting of 16-year-old

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Lawrence Longstreet, 19, has been charged with shooting a 16-year-old boy last month.

The boy sustained a gunshot wound to the back in the 6200-block of South Cottage Grove around 1:15 p.m. on Feb. 16, police said. He was hospitalized in serious condition.

Longstreet was taken into custody and faces a felony aggravated battery charge. He was scheduled to appear in bond court Sunday.
