Evanston sets up 'safe zone' for Craigslist transactions

EVANSTON, Ill. -- The Evanston Police Department is letting people use its property to complete sales set up through websites like Craigslist.

Other law enforcement agencies, including suburban Naperville, have set up similar safe zones.

People can use the front parking area or police department lobby to do business, Evanston officials said.
