LAKE COUNTY, Ind. (WLS) -- A semi carrying a load of cheese rolled over Friday morning in Indiana, closing the I-65 northbound to I-80 eastbound ramp.

Around 4:37 a.m., the semi, driven by a 35-year-old Alabama man, almost missed his exit. Police say the semi tried exit to the ramp by crossing into the white-stripe separator area without slowing down, and caused his load to shift. The semi rolled onto its driver's side, blocking access to the ramp.

The semi was loaded with approximately 40,000 pounds of cheese. The cheese stayed contained inside the trailer, but is being off-loaded so the trailer can be uprighted.

The driver was taken to Saint Mary's Medical Center in Hobart with minor injuries. He will be cited for unsafe lane movement.
