CHICAGO (WLS) -- General Motors is adding a new feature to the 2016 Chevy Malibu that will keep a close eye on teen drivers.

The new system mutes the radio when front seat passengers have not fastened their seat belts. It will also provide a kind of report card on the teen's driving, and issue warnings if the car travels above pre-set speeds set by their parents or the car's owner.
