Smash-and-grab burglars target North Side stores, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police are warning businesses on Chicago's North Side of three overnight smash-and-grab burglaries in March.

Police said someone used a brick to shatter the front glass at Clarendon Food Mart in the 4100-block of North Clarendon Avenue between 10 p.m. on March 11 and 6 a.m. on March 12.

Burglars broke the front glass to get into another business, located in the 4100-block of North Lincoln Avenue, between 9:30 p.m. on March 20 and 9:30 a.m. on March 21, authorities said.

Police said thieves busted through a wall to get inside a store located in the 800-block of West Sheridan Road between 11:45 p.m. Monday and 8:45 a.m. Tuesday.

There is no description of the suspects.
