MARATHON, Fla. (WLS) -- The family of Larry Coltrin, 72, will hold a "Day of Remembrance" at Schaumburg Regional Airport after his memorial service in the northwest suburbs.
Coltrin, of Schaumburg, died while snorkeling in Dry Tortugas National Park on March 23.
His memorial service will be held at Lord of Life Lutheran Church at 11 a.m. on April 2. The church is located at 119 West Wise Road in Schaumburg.
Following the service, all are invited to Schaumburg Regional Airport from 2-8 p.m. to share stories and photos of Coltrin and remember his life. Fly-ins are welcome. Food will be served.
His family asks guests to make a donation in Coltrin's name to the American Diabetes Association or The Alexian Brothers Foundation in lieu of flowers.
