DANBURY, Conn. -- A Danbury High School teacher is accused of sexually assaulting and providing alcohol to a student.

Kayla Mooney, 24, turned herself into police Tuesday afternoon. Mooney had been on administrative leave for seven weeks while police investigated the incident.

The accusations have parents like John Burgos concerned.

"There's no trust," he said. "They can try to be good, but they failed."

Mooney is charged with sexual assault and distributing alcohol to a minor.

She was released on a written promise to appear in court on April 14.
