CHICAGO (WLS) -- United States Senator Mark Kirk is promoting a Veterans Day Moment of Silence Bill.
He visited Rags of Honor, a Chicago silk-screening business that employs veterans and works to get homeless vets off the streets.
The bill would require the president to issue a proclamation each year calling on U.S. citizens to observe two minutes of silence on Veterans Day.
