CHICAGO (WLS) -- The president of the University of Illinois says the school is widening an investigation into alleged mistreatment of athletes on the women's basketball and men's football teams.

Tim Killeen was in Chicago Tuesday visiting the UIC campus.

The complaints were filed against women's basketball coach Mike Divilbiss, who has left the program.

The other complaint involves a player's claim that head football coach Tim Beckman pressured him to play hurt

An initial investigation last month found no violations. The school has hired a legal firm to investigate.
