Man, 66, shot during robbery attempt in West Garfield Park

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 66-year-old man was shot in the stomach and arm during a robbery attempt in the West Garfield Park neighborhood Saturday, police said.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition.

At about 3:45 p.m., the man was on the 4000 block of West Wilcox Avenue when two men went up to him and tried to rob him, police said.

Police are investigating. No arrests have been made.
