CHICAGO (WLS) -- The family of the woman killed when she was hit by a bus in downtown Chicago has filed a lawsuit against the CTA and the bus driver.

Lawyers for Aimee Coath's daughter and son filed the wrongful death suit Monday morning.

Coath was at the corner of Lake and Michigan last week when witnesses say the bus ran a red light, then hopped a curb and hit Coath. She was pinned under the bus and later died at Northwestern hospital.

The driver was ticketed by police and is currently on injury leave.
