Job openings at all-time high, labor report says

WASHINGTON (WLS) -- Job openings in America are at an all-time high, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.

Right now there are some 5.4 million openings - that's the most openings since the government started tracking the numbers in 2000.

Most of the positions are in health care and social assistance industries.

The U.S. Department of Labor reports 8.7 million unemployed people in May.
