Runners help save struggling swimmer in Lake Michigan

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two runners helped save a swimmer who was struggling in Lake Michigan by grabbing a surf board and pushing it out to him so he could stay afloat.

Fire department divers arrived a short time later and rescued the man near North Avenue Beach.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition.
