Dick Van Dyke's childhood home could be torn down

DANVILLE, Ill. (WLS) -- The childhood home of actor Dick Van Dyke could be torn down after a central Illinois city condemned the dilapidated building.

The 89-year-old actor and his brother Jerry lived in the Danville home during high school.

Mayor Scott Eisenhauer said the city didn't know about the van dyke connection when it condemned the house.. So now they're working on a way to fix it.
