Skokie mosquitoes test positive for West Nile virus

SKOKIE, Ill. (WLS) -- A batch of mosquitoes in Skokie have tested positive for the West Nile virus.

The mosquitoes were collected last week and are the third batch to test positive.

Two other batches of mosquitoes collected in Oak Lawn and Evergreen Park back in May also tested positive for the virus.

So far there are no human cases West Nile virus in Cook County this year.
