North Barrington man charged with possession of child porn

NORTH BARRINGTON, Ill. (WLS) -- A North Barrington man faces child pornography charges after police found an "extensive" amount of pornographic images and videos involving children under the age of 13.

James M. Parsino, 50, was arrested at his home in the 100-block of North Rainbow Road on Wednesday in connection with a child porn investigation that began more than a year ago.

The Lake County sheriff's office said they found a high volume of pornographic images and videos on his electronic devices. Parsino was charged with three counts of possession of child pornography.

Investigators plan to further examine the media on his devices. The sheriff's office said additional charges could follow.

Parsino is being held at Lake County Jail. He is due in court on Thursday.
