5 injured in crash involving IDOT truck

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Five people were injured in a South Side crash involving an Illinois Department of Transportation truck, police said.

The crash happened early Sunday morning at 76th and Lafayette. At least one other vehicle was involved.

Paramedics rushed all five injured people to area hospitals. The IDOT truck driver was among the injured.

It's not clear what led to the crash and no other details have been released.
