A group of bridesmaids almost didn't make it to their best friend's wedding, until a kindly stranger picked them up on the side of a U.K. highway.

Bethany Mouatt asked for help on Facebook tracking down the woman who ferried her mother and the three bridesmaids to the wedding after their car broke down.

"On the way to the wedding the car that was driving my bridesmaids to the ceremony broke down en route, meaning my bridesmaids resorted to hitch hiking," Mouatt wrote on Facebook. "A lovely lovely lady pulled over on a dual carriageway, rescuing my bridesmaids and the mother of the bride, and brought them to the ceremony. We didn't have chance to thank the lady properly and don't have any contact details."

More than 150,000 people shared the photo, helping Mouatt find the generous stranger, a woman named Beth Young, according to Good Morning America.

Mouatt and Young met for the first time this past Tuesday on a British TV morning show.

"We had a good laugh before we went on TV," Young said. "It was absolutely lovely. ... I think we'll stay in touch, I certainly hope so."
