CHICAGO (WLS) -- An 8-month-old puppy was stolen at knifepoint from the arms of its owner on the CTA Orange Line, Chicago police said.

The victim told police he was approached by two men while riding the train near 35th and Archer overnight on Tuesday. Police said one of the men showed a knife and the other took the victim's pink carrier containing the black and white puppy from the seat before exiting the train at Archer and Leavitt.

Police are investigating surveillance video of the incident.
