CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 90-year-old woman found dead just outside her Chatham neighborhood home this week died of hypothermia and cold exposure, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Nellie Gordon was found Monday morning in the 9100-block of South Michigan Avenue, during which time temperatures were in the single digits.

She had on a coat and had her purse with her. Her key was in the front door.
