CHICAGO -- CTA train service was suspended on the elevated tracks around Chicago's Loop due to a small track fire during Tuesday's afternoon commute.

The fire was reported near the Library stop, according to a CTA tweet, but service was impacted on all the lines the run above ground. A short time later, the fire was struck and power was restored.

CTA officials warned commuters to expect delays. Commuters are encouraged to find alternative routes if possible.
