CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two people were robbed along Wells Street early Tuesday morning by robbers who distracted the victim by asking for directions, police said.

The men showed a gun and demanded money from the victim.

The first incident happened about 4:30 a.m. in the Near North Side in the 1000-block of North Wells. The men pulled their car up to the victim and asked for directions and then told them to "drop your bag and jacket on the ground and keep walking."

The second incident happened about 5:30 a.m. in the South Loop in the 600-block of South Wells. The men followed the victim into an alley, pulled up next to the victim, and demanded everything from their pockets.

Police are looking for two men, ages 20 to 30, who are described as black with dark complexions.

The men were driving a newer model, small hatchback, which is either black or dark blue. The driver was wearing a white shirt.
