Police warn of burglaries in the city's far Northwest Side

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police are warning residents of the city's far Northwest Side about a series of burglaries reported throughout August.

Police say offenders entered apartments through windows or doors and took cash, electronics and other items at the following locations:

• 6100-block of W. Newport on Aug. 6 between 4:30-6 p.m.
• 5500-block of W. Irving Park on Aug. 25 between 8 a.m.-1:45 p.m.
• 5800-block of W. Berenice on Aug. 26 between 12:30-5 p.m.
