TINLEY PARK, Ill. (WLS) -- A wounded veteran and his family have a new home after a special ceremony Saturday night before the Toby Keith concert in Tinley Park.
Keith's fans cheered as retired Sergeant First Class Miguel Valdivia was presented with the key to his new home in Minooka, Ill.
"It's incredible," Valdivia said. "These people I don't even know, they came from different states for the foundation and the sponsors that made this come true, it feels great."
Keith is a supporter of the Military Warriors Support Foundation, which helped to provide the home.
Valdivia was wounded in combat in Iraq and also in the 2009 terror attack at Fort Hood.
Valdivia was joined by two of his four children Saturday night.
He has another child on the way.
