CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police rescued 16 dogs, including nine puppies, from an alleged dog fighting ring on the city's South Side.

Police obtained a search warrant for a home in the 4800-block of South Shields, where they say they found dogs living in poor conditions and items used for dog fighting and training. They also found drugs and ammunition.

Clifford McNeil, 43, faces dozens of charges, including two felonies for dog fighting.
