CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man has been charged in connection with a police-involved shooting in the city's Pilsen neighborhood.

Erik Martinez, 34, has been charged with first degree murder and four counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm.

A warrant was issued for Martinez's arrest after the shooting, which occurred on Aug. 29 in the 1600-block of W. 19th Street. Police say officers chased a vehicle before it struck several parked cars and allegedly attempted to reverse into the officers. One person died in the shooting.

Martinez appeared in bond court Sunday.
